Chance
& Lucky
1 yr old neutered brothers
Chance and Lucky are well mannered in
the house, have rich personalities. When Chance hears the clock alarm
go off, he will get on the bed and wash my face, then grab the blanket
and pull it off! Lucky is more introverted, he likes to keep a
low key but is very loving.
Chance & Lucky would like to be
adopted together.
When Chance is not playing with the
other foster dogs, he will go and lay down under the kitchen table
next to his brother, when Lucky goes outside, Chance will go with him.
Chance likes to clown around, and has made friends with Socks, a
border collie and he likes to go in the car.

Rascal
1 yr old, neutered male, Yellow
lab / Dalmatian
60 lbs., short white hair with a few dots of color
This boy is playful and energetic with
an unequaled zest for life. Why he was pushed out of a car and left we
can only guess. Sadly the family who witnessed this cruelty was
unable to get a license number but they were able to save
Rascal from traffic. He has a personality like Chance in
the movie Incredible Journey. Happy go lucky and always
willing to give you a chance despite his past experiences. He
loves everybody and wants to have his own family
to live and play with. Loves to walk or jog and
insists on carrying his leash in his mouth so it will be a partnership
exercise experience!

Little Bit
1 yr old, spayed girl, Terrier Mix, 30 lbs
Little Bit has
that typical bouncy, happy- go- lucky personality, so typical
in terriers. She is a survivor though. Not many
small dogs survive being dumped in the country; they are
simply easy prey for bigger, more aggressive animals.
She arrived at a rural house where many dumped animals
congregate, because they are not chased away by the residents
..and food and shelter are available. There are many
bigger dogs, so Litlle Bit is wary of large strangers,
but she is responsive to humans and warms up quickly
with a little kindness and attention. As you can
see from her photo, she always has an eye to the future,
looking for a new adventure. Hopefully, one will be
a forever loving home for this sweet girl.

Hobo
English Setter, 3 yrs, neutered male, 45 lbs
Tramp
Chow mix, neutered Male, 1-1.5 years, 40 lbs
Hobo and Tramp are two devoted friends.
Hobo may have been a young dog on his first hunting trip who
got lost.or maybe he was dumped. All that is known is that he
was friendly, very tired and hungry, a little thin and
very glad to find a safe place to rest. He was a gentle young
dog who loved people, adored ear scratches and was content to stay
around his new home. About 18 months later, a young pup,
maybe 6 months old appeared on the periphery. He never
came to close to the house. but he followed Hobo
devotedly and apparently felt safe enough to stay near his
friend, even though he did not trust humans much. Sadly,
shortly after his arrival, the people in that house were forced to
move - the house was simply not inhabitable. A rescue planned
to feed the dogs left behind in place and try to
gradually move the animals to their sanctuary as space came
available. It, like so many rural private rescues, is
overwhelmed with the numbers of needy animals. Hobo and
Tramp were safe to feed in place. They were not
aggressive and not wanderers so they remained at the
only home they knew, secure in each others company.
Every day someone brought food and scratched Hobo and
tried to make friends with young Tramp; and each day he came a
bit closer. One day Hobo did not rise to greet the
rescuer. His lay near the house with his friend sitting
near him. Close inspection revealed a large cut
that clearly needed immediate veterinary attention.
Arrangements were made to transport Hobo to the vet but
there was concern about what would happen to Tramp. .All
worries were unnecessary, since when Hobo was loaded into the truck
for his trip to the Vet...young Tramp leapt into the van
to stay with his friend. Both are now safe from harm,
but need a loving home. Won't you consider giving one or both the
forever home the both deserve?
