Lady
Special Senior Girl
12 yrs old, 70 lbs

Lady is a sweet old girl that smiles at you when she is happy. Her smile will brighten your day! Lady will steal your heart if you’re looking for a couch potato. She doesn’t need a lot of attention… only a warm floor to sleep on and food every day. Lady just wants  a nice place to spend her final days. She also loves to get scratched behind her ears and on her tummy. Lady doesn’t like her brother Skip, but has shown no aggression towards any of other dogs or any people.  She weighs about 70 lbs, is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and spayed. Skip
Special Senior Boy
12 yrs old, 70 lbs

Skip was surrendered with Lady about a year ago. Skip is a sweet boy with a heart of gold. Skip likes to get treats and sleep. He would make a great pet for anyone looking for an older dog that doesn’t need a lot of attention or exercise. Skip likes to mind his own business and when the younger dogs get close to him or try to play he tries to bark at them. I say try because it sounds more like he’s coughing! We always say he’s like a grandpa annoyed by the little kids running around.  Skip loves all people and would make a great companion for anyone.

Skip is recovering from a broken leg. I just got back from his follow-up appointment and they were able to take the cast off. He has 3 metal rods in his leg near his paw to try to get it back in place. He’s doing great!  We got the cast off today. The surgery was 6 weeks ago. I have to take him back on Nov. 18th for xrays and the vet said after that he should be as good as new. Skip and Lady are survivors. They have been through every horrible thing and made it out with a few scratches and happy hearts. They are great dogs. Skip  is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and neutered.

Bob
4 yr old, 77 lbs
Retriever/Lab Mix

Bob was found wondering down a road in Magnolia 2 years ago. He didn’t have a collar so John brought him back to take care of him. Bob is a big goober. He loves his kennel mates, Will and Harley. He hasn’t shown any aggression towards any people but has made it clear that he doesn’t like Bruce. I’m unsure why but those 2 have to stay separated. He shows no aggression towards any other dogs. He will run right up to you and plop down hoping that you will rub his belly. He loves to bury his treats and looks so cute with his dirt covered snout! He doesn’t even get mad when Harley goes and digs up his treat right after he buried it. Bob would probably be most comfortable as an only pet. Bob is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and neutered.

Kevin
3 yrs old, 60 lbs

Kevin showed up one day a couple of years ago and didn’t have a collar on. After a couple of days the owner, John, put him in a kennel with a few other dogs and he’s been here ever since.

He is very sweet and playful. He loves to play fetch and get his belly rubbed. He also loves to run around and wrestle with his best friend Bruce. They eat next to each other and like to drink out of their water bowl at the same time. Once Kevin is in his own kennel for bed time he will play with the ball by himself by throwing it up in the air and trying to catch it. Kevin gets along with all dogs and people he has come into contact with but should go to a home with no cats. We are unsure of his breed but he is very handsome!

Kevin was tested for heart worms and the vet said that he has a very mild case but with proper preventative medication he will be HW negative within 6 months.

Kevin  is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and neutered.

Danny
7 yrs old, 55 lbs
Australian Shepherd Mix

Danny was found a couple of years ago wondering around on Telge road in Cypress. Danny is one of a kind! His face is so cute and his eyes are so sweet. Danny loves playing with the other dogs but his favorite thing is playing fetch. He had a very unfortunate incident about 6 months ago when he was shot in the leg by an unknown person. Danny has made a full recovery and after watching him run you would never be able to tell he was ever injured. It is definitely a miracle that he is still alive.  He does need occasional grooming because his coat is very thick! He’s actually a medium size dog but looks bigger because of all of the hair. He is gentle with people and other dogs. Danny would love a home with someone active to throw his ball for him.

Danny is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and neutered.

Lilly
2 yrs old, 43 lbs

Lilly was abandoned by a previous employee. Lilly is a very sweet girl. She loves to play fetch and wrestle with Duke. She gets along with all people and the other dogs. Lilly does jump sometimes when she’s very excited but is learning to listen a little more every day. Lilly would make a great pet for anyone.

Lilly is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and spayed.

Duke
3 yrs old, 56 lbs
Rottweiler Mix

Duke was dropped off about a year ago. We are unsure of Duke’s past,  but we have no idea why his previous owners didn’t want him. He is a great dog! He loves to play fetch and gets along with all of the other dogs and people. Duke is fast and handsome. He does jump sometimes but we are trying to break him of the habit. He just gets really excited to see us!

Duke was tested for heart worms and the vet said that he has a very mild case but with proper preventative medication he will be HW negative within 6 months.

Duke is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and neutered.

Bruce
3 yrs old, 62 lbs
Retriever/Lab Mix

Bruce was abandoned by an abusive owner about a year ago. He has the most beautiful blue eyes but doesn’t like when you look directly at him. I’m assuming it’s because of his violent past. He doesn’t trust people right away but after you show him that you aren’t going to hurt him he’s a big teddy bear. Bruce needs to go to a home with someone that will be patient and loving to him all the time. Bruce really loves his buddy Kevin but would probably need to go to a home with no kids or other dogs. (Unless the other dog is Kevin!)

Bruce is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and neutered.

Harley
2 yrs old, 45 lbs
Shepherd  Mix

Harley was brought here by an employee 2 years ago when he was just a tiny puppy. The guy said he couldn’t take care of the dog and knew that John would. So, he’s been here since. Harley is a sweetheart. He really knows how to make you smile. Harley doesn’t like fetch very much but he does love to chew on toys! Harley’s best friends are Bob and Will and he runs and plays with them all day. He is not aggressive with any of the other dogs or people. Harley has a cute little compact body but he doesn’t know it. He would make a great pet for anyone.

Harley is current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative and neutered.
