Description: Bucky
is a sweet, black Labrador / Shepherd mix which puts him in the 'Bermuda
Triangle' of animal rescue. That's the place where black dogs go; and they
have a hard time finding their way out to a forever home. No one knows why
this 'phenomena' exists, it just does. And poor Bucky has been stuck in this
Bermuda Triangle through no fault of his own. Bucky came to TRue Blue Animal
Rescue (TBAR) after being dumped in the country and found hiding out under a
fallen cattle panel. He's friendly, loving and playful. He's past the puppy
stage of teething and jumping all over you and would make a great companion
for you and your other dogs. Bucky is very intelligent and willing to learn,
so if you want to teach him tricks, he's ready! At 1.5 years old, Bucky is
young and able; he's neutered and had his shots. All he needs now is for

Description: Oreo is well-trained:
sits on command, housebroken, playful with dogs and loves all people. She
loves to have her belly rubbed, is lovable, loyal and very smart. Like all
border collies, Oreo needs attention and lots of room to run. The cats and
small animals don't like Oreo trying to 'herd' them, so Oreo would do better
in a home with no small pets.

Description: Lucy
looks like a happy-go-lucky girl, so it's hard to imagine what circumstances
brought her to the Milam County Shelter. Maybe she had a good life, maybe
she didn't. Lucy was rescued from the Milam Shelter by a caring TBAR
foster parent, so she could find a loving, forever home. This 2.5 yr old,
brindle Staffie likes to be pet, walked, go for rides in the car and
she tolerates a bath. She is housetrained and responds to the No command.
Lucy likes children and doesn't bark much. Lucy thinks she has good
taste and is selective about which dogs can hang out with her. She is
a bit cautious in new surroundings until she settles in; and then her
playful personality shows. Even though she's short in stature, she's quite
the athlete and needs a tall fence to keep her from showing off her
abilities. Lucy is spayed, current on her vaccinations and ready for
her forever home.

at Dulce now and seeing how healthy she is, you'd never guess that at one
time she was a skinny, scared girl. "Where did my family go?"
Dulce must have been wondering. One day her family packed up and moved; and
left her behind! She must have thought they were coming back for her; but
day after day passed, and no one came. She waited and got very hungry and
skinny. Finally, someone did come - not her family - but a kind soul who
contacted True Blue Animal Rescue and by a small miracle, there was a space
available. Dulce is a gentle soul, with big, black, dreamy eyes. She's
a beautiful, blonde, 3 year old Shepherd mix weighing about 45 lbs. She
loves to play with other dogs and is always up for some loving! And if
you're having trouble with your neighbors cows, she'll help you keep them in
their pasture! She's waiting for a family that will love her and keep
