Success Stories - Adopted!

Sometimes animals come into T-Bar that have such special requirements and challenges that they are virtually unadoptable. In those special cases, they live their life out with love and care at T-Bar Ranch or a loving foster home.

Description: Moriah was donated to TBAR when his loving 'mom' was moving out of state and could not take him with her. She thought she'd found someone who would take care of JJ, but when they went to visit, JJ was skin and bones. After spending months at the vet to get healthy again, TBAR was contacted to find JJ a forever home.  JJ is very passive and can not defend himself, so he has to eat with other docile horses. He has very few teeth left and requires a diet of Equine Senior and One and Only to keep his weight on.

JJ's feed costs over $100 a month. Please consider sponsoring JJ and supporting senior horses or donate a bag of Senior Feed ($15) - every bit helps!

Sponsor Jazmine and Firecracker:

Name:  Moriah T-Bar #:  H094
Age:  32 Sex:  gelding Height: 16Hh Weight:
Color: white
Breed:  Arabian
Registered Association: Reg #:
Abilities: Could be ridden by small children or lead-line riding. Very gentle and sweet. Stands still for everything - fly spray, farrier, etc.
Adoption Fee: n/a Location: Brenham
Description: Moriah was donated to TBAR when his loving 'mom' could no longer afford to keep him, She wanted a loving retirement home for this family pet. Moriah needs to put on some weight and have some farrier work done due to a previous founder.

Update 9/2007: Moriah has put on weight and requires Senior feed and One and Only to keep his weight. With trimming, his hooves are almost normal; however, Moriah has recently had to be kept off of grass because his front feet were sore.  Moriah is in love with his foster home's girl pony. Moriah's feed costs over $100 a month. Please consider sponsoring Moriah and supporting senior horses.

Update 10/2008: Moriah looks like a white unicorn out of a science fiction movie with his long, flowing mane and tail that glistens in the sun. He's happy and enjoying retirement. It still takes a lot of Equine Senior to keep Moriah at a healthy weight, so please considering donating.

Update: July 2008: Midnight is enjoying his retired life, living with TBar's Moriah and JJ. He loves his feed and hay; and doesn't seem to know how big he really is - all 1300lbs! His melanomas do not seem to be growing, which is good news.
