Sweet Pea’s story:

Meet SWEET PEA, she is precious, gorgeous, smart as a whip, super affectionate, cuddly and playful. This pup is 5 months old and currently weighs 18-20 lbs. The vet tells us she’ll probably mature to 25 (maybe 30) pounds. She was taken in by a good neighbor who has fostered her and tells us that she saw the mother of Sweet Pea’s litter, and feels sure Mama dog is 1/2 Chihuahua. The rest of her family tree will have to remain a mystery. Little Sweet Pea is a perfect example of that wonderful breed, the Great American Mutt. In her face and coat, there could even be a few drops of Black Mouth Cur or Shepherd. It’s all good – and she comes with a very sweet heart to boot. Her foster mom has taught her to walk on a leash, crate trained her and given her plenty of experience with a big house hold. She likes kids and has never growled or snapped, even with the littlest, pulling tail and ears and trying to pick her up. She likes to chase the cats, but just for fun and has never been aggressive with them.
Sweet Pea sleeps in her crate at night and is a great inside or outside dog. She has a happy disposition and is real responsive to being taught. Like all of True Blue Animal Rescue’s adoptables , she is spayed, current on shots and healthy.
