TBar Heaven 2007

While our goal is to save animals and give them a good life, there are always those sad times when animals in our care pass on and enter a place that we call TBar Heaven. We are consoled in knowing that we were able to feed and care for them before they passed into TBar Heaven; and we are thankful that they left knowing the love of a rescue person. We know that the animals in TBar Heaven are running free and will never know sadness, hunger, abuse, or neglect again. All the problems that they had here on Earth are left behind and they finally are able to relax.

Click on their names in order to read the pages of TBar Heaven and get to know some of the animals that have gone there. Their lives have touched us and none of them will be forgotten.

Cowboy
Sometimes, no matter how hard we try to save them, it's an animal's time to go. Such was the case with Cowboy. Rescued from neglect, we're thankful he new love, care and happiness in the end. Our hearts are heavy that he left us so soon.

Sadie - TBar #D246
Sadie knew it was her time, so she laid down by her pups, Jasmine and Marcus and went to sleep. We're comforted that  she knew lots of love in the end.

A Poem

Don't cry for the animals

That life has set free
A million white animals
Forever to be

Don't cry for the animals
Now in God's hands
As they dance and they play
To a heavenly band.

They were ours as a gift
But never to keep
As they close their eyes
Forever to sleep

Their spirits unbound
On silver wings they fly
A million white animals
Against the blue sky

Look up into heaven
You'll see them above
The animals we lost
The animals we loved

Tails, ears or manes flowing
They run through time
They were never yours
They were never mine

Don't cry for the animals
They will be back someday
When our time has come
They will show us the way

Do you hear that soft whisper
Close to your ear?
Don't cry for the animals
Love the ones that are here.

Lil Bit and Big Ben
Lil Bit was so tiny, even for a mini, and Big Ben was so big. And yet they were best friends. They were the favorites of visitors to TBAR and will be deeply missed. They passed within months of each other. Lil Bit died suddenly as can happen with tiny minis. Big Ben was older and died peacefully while fighting a serious illness.

Daisy - TBar #H085
This pony suffered from moon blindness, but found love and healing at her foster home. Daisy passed over the Rainbow Bridge from a sudden, severe case of colic. Now she can see again.

Victoria - TBar #H047
This graceful, elderly lady was rescued from the auction house and lived out her last years with lots of love and care. She was featured in ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Toot - TBar #H090
Toot was seized by law enforcement and was severely starved. TBAR and the vets did everything they could to save Toot, but his poor body couldn't come back. It broke our hearts to see such a young horse suffer so; and his story still pains us. At least now he is at Peace with all the food he can eat and lots of love.

Chief
Chief was seized with 2 other horses for severe neglect. He was all bones and could not stand, even with lots of people helping. TBAR spent the night in the pasture with Chief, hoping he would be able rise in the morning. But his weakened body could not recover. Now Chief is at Peace with all the food he can eat and lots of love. He will never suffer again.

Bamboo - TBar #H042
Bamboo was donated to TBAR in lieu of seizure. She had been the family horse that the children grew up on, but they stopped feeding her when she got old. At TBAR she enjoyed lots of love, food and TLC and had a peaceful retirement. The time came when it was clear it was Bamboo's time to cross-over.
