Pets of the Week: Albert and Jasper

TrueBlueAnimalRescuePetofTheWeekDonkeysJan26

Pet of the week: This week we have two! Albert and Jasper are donkeys with those lovely velvety long ears who would make great new additions to your family, alone or in the pair.

Albert is an adult donkey. He is friendly and gets along with other animals in the pasture. He is bonded with his pasture buddy, Jasper. It would be great to have both of them adopted together, but they can be separated if needed. His buddy’s name is Jasper. Jasper is also an adult donkey. They are friendly and get along with other animals in the pasture. They are both gelded and current on shots and coggins.

T-BAR is a no-kill rescue. Not only do we like having our animals adopted out, we also are in dire need of foster homes. That way we can help more animals out there, especially with winter here. Please save a life by adopting a pet, instead of buying a pet and please have all your pets spayed and neutered. It is the right thing to do. If you are interested on where you can help or to look at all that is available to either adopt or foster, please go towww.t-bar.org and see all the animals that deserve a second chance and fulfilled life full of love, email [email protected] or call (936)878-2349 and one of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible. Adoption Fee: $100.00 each or $150.00 for both. Please email [email protected]. Adoption fee includes neuter or spay, up to date vaccinations, heartworm tested if old enough or started on heartworm prevention as a puppy, deworming and a one year TBAR membership.

Foster Feature: Gina

Today’s foster feature is Gina. She was next to be euthanized at the Brenham Shelter so the manager there asked if we could network her to find her a home. We sent out the picture of her in the kennel and although True Blue Animal Rescue foster homes are all full they came up with a plan to save this beautiful yellow lab. They contacted Kathryn Kwiatkowski of K’s Mutt Hut in Brenham and asked her to help. She offered a discounted boarding fee just to cover her care. Kathryn runs a wonderful boarding facility in Brenham, but she’s a rescuer through and through. She’s always rescuing animals and can’t look away when asked to help. The members of True Blue Animal Rescue chipped in to cover her board for several weeks. This will allow time to get her vetted and up for adoption.

If you or someone you know would like to adopt this sweet girl, please share or email us at [email protected]. Please help buy Gina another day by paying for a day of board. Go to t-bar.org and make a $10 paypal donation with a note to let us know it’s for Gina.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who donated enough to get her out of the shelter and a great big thank you to Kathryn of K’s Mutt Huthttps://www.facebook.com/kmutthut for taking care of her and giving her a chance!

Happy New Year!

TrueBlueAnimalRescueChristmas2014Happy New Year from the Hodde Family and True Blue Animal Rescue!

The Hodde’s pets are all rescues. They shared their super cute Texas Christmas picture so we could see how well Buddy (aka, Butch), the tan dog on the left, is doing. Buddy was adopted from True Blue Animal Rescue several years ago, and as you can see, he’s happy and loved in his new family.

You can help us make 2015 a great year by donating, fostering, or adopting!

Success Story: Tina!

TrueBlueAnimalRescueTina TrueBlueAnimalRescueTina2

This weeks Success Story is Tina. and it’s a Christmas Blessing.

Tina’s New Mom sent this message:

Tina had a long talk with Santa this year.

She said she really wanted to stay in her foster home forever.

Santa couldn’t resist those eyes... and the snuggles every evening by the fire. So Santa said, “Come stay with me”.

Along with her BFF Jenny, who was also adopted from TBAR, her job will be to help Santa relax after a hard day’s work in the toy shop.

The second picture is Tina with her entire family. Her Dad plays Santa every weekend of Dec each year. Her Mom takes the pictures and all proceeds from their efforts go to True Blue Animal Rescue so more animals can be saved the following year. Her family is the Taylor Family and they are a blessing to rescue animals and especially to True Blue Animal Rescue!

Pet of the Week: Mandy

Mandy1 (1)

Mandy – seen here enjoying her True Blue Animal Rescue (TBAR) foster home – didn’t always have it so easy. She was abandoned as a puppy and would not have survived if she hadn’t been rescued by a good Samaritan. Mandy is a beautiful Grey Hound/Shepherd mix with a light tan coat accented by darker ears. She is gentle, attentive, and highly intelligent. Mandy is past the puppy stage, but is young and still loves to play. She is very friendly and loves attention and pets. She also loves stuffed toys and will run around the house playing with them. T-BAR is a no-kill rescue. Not only do we like having our animals adopted out, we also are in dire need of foster homes. That way we can help more animals out there, especially with winter coming. Please save a life by adopting a pet, instead of buying a pet and please have all your pets spayed and neutered. It is the right thing to do. If you are interested in any horse, dog or cat, please go to www.t-bar.org and see all the animals that deserve a second chance and fulfilled life full of love, email [email protected] or call (936)878-2349and one of our volunteers will get back to you as soon as possible. Please email [email protected] for adoption fee!

Riding Lessons with Juan

When Dale and Melanie aren’t busy taking care of rescue animals they enjoy taking lessons with Juan Vendrell of TC Ranch Ventures and riding them. Before the lesson Juan spent some time with rescue horses, Comanche and Rock, in the roundpen getting them ready to ride. Riding lessons with Juan are $55 an hour. Juan is a horse trainer too so he’ll work with you and your horse so you can both learn together. For more information go tohttp://www.tcranchhorsemanship.com/
We also have a clinic planned for Feb 14 with Juan at Tbar ranch so mark your calendar and watch for more info on that coming soon!
